it is the site of the old Tom Mix cabin and terminus of the historic Lookout Mountain tramway. The log cabin on the property deteriorated over time and now the property is vacant with some old foundations, retaining walls, and drainage channels. The site is the flow terminus of the most prolific perennial spring on the southern slope of the Santa Monica Mountains between Hoag Canyon and Nichols Canyon. The City is considering an application for an approximately 9,000 square foot house with other infrastructure.
